PARS Terminal is located in Riga, Latvia. Terminal currently provides transfer of light oil products. Total capacity of shoretank park is 90'000 m3.
The Terminal has chosen to change direction of its operations and to turn to green petroleum logistic hub. Therefore, Meta Engineering AG participates in the PARS Terminal reorientation project to environmentally friendly fuel - Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), for storage and transshipment of biofuels.
Strategically situated near key transportation hubs, the terminal ensures efficient access to both raw materials and distribution networks. This strategic positioning facilitates the transportation of HVO to end-users, including fuel stations, industrial facilities, and commercial fleets.
The decision of the PARS terminal to produce HVO in Latvia signifies a substantial investment in renewable energy infrastructure. This move aligns with global efforts to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and decreasing dependence on fossil fuels.
Construction work is expected to begin in the summer of 2025.
